Costa Rica, a biodiversity hotspot, provides many options for our Service Journeys! Located in Central America, bordering both the Caribbean Sea and the North Pacific Ocean, between Nicaragua and Panama, Costa Rica is a tropical paradise which boasts 1/20th of the world’s biodiversity. It is a wonderful destination for students and anyone interested in the natural sciences, or a cross-cultural language immersion experience.
We organize Journeys into one of five special community partner locations. We include a day or two of adventure time where Journey Members will have the opportunity to choose from zip-lining, whitewater rafting, hiking the volcano, enjoying the hot springs, and more. Led2Serve pre-arranges all of your travel details to make for an enjoyable and stress-free Journey. We provide comfortable lodging and fabulous local cuisine in each location.
You can choose from a modest location or bring your group beachfront for more of a “retreat and serve" setting. Transportation from the moment you arrive and throughout the country is provided. All meaningful community-based projects are pre-planned and the details are ready for your arrival. This includes transportation to the projects, materials, necessary tools, and any logistics needed to support the projects and partners during your serving time.
The night you arrive, we hold our initial team training and welcome dinner. Projects will range from participating in our ongoing reforestation project, painting schools, teaching computers and light construction to delivering supplies, teaching swimming or helping a local homeowner! Depending on the team size and skill levels there will be a variety of projects to choose from.
We customize every detail for your team. From the moment you start planning – to GO! We coordinate and design a Journey that fits the size of the team, age, and interests. We also provide training for the entire team before you fly!
